GOOD MOLECULES REVIEW

To give you some background about my skin care regimen, I have pretty much been using the same thing on my face for 10 years now. I never really questioned what I have been using and honestly it made my skin a little irritated and dry but it got the job done and kept me for the most part acne free. Recently, the brand that made those products discontinued my 10-year secret, I have been able to get by stock piling any remaining products I could find online and on discount stores but all good things come to an end. And that end was May, aka when every last reserve of Clean n Clear expired.

Right around that time I was feeling a little shaken up from the change and my skin started to show it. I started to break out like a middle schooler – Thank God for COVID and working remotely. Every zoom call was a total nightmare.

And then… I got a package in the mail.

A little before the quarantine started I got contacted by Good Molecules to try their product but because of COVID there were delays, so I had completely forgotten about them, but with nothing left to lose I gave them a try.

Their mission is a good one, why is to cut down costs on packaging and bottling and create products that actually make a difference in your skin. Their products are not tested on animals and don’t have any of the usual nasty ingredients most products have. And they are Vegan! (If you have been keeping up with me at all, you probably know by now this is my current craze).

Unlike other post hungry brands that reach out to influencers and ask for a billion things for a free sample, Good Molecules made a bold offer: Let us send you gift, post about it when you see a difference in your skin. Game on.

I had initially told Good Molecules that I have oily skin that is very sensitive and that I am working towards optimizing my skin routine to be more anti-aging friendly and they send me a couple of products based on that assessment.

So, I gave them a try.

In complete honesty, I was a little doubtful going into it, just because I was not used to putting so many different things on my skin, simply because the one thing I did put on it just left me dry and irritated to the point where I couldn’t add one more thing to my skin.

Here is what I tried:

The Instant Cleansing Balm

excuse the messy presentation, this has been getting some serious use lol

This one is shea butter-based and feels super gentle on skin. You apply some to your dry face and then massage it in and rinse to remove make-up and dirt from your face.

Niacinamide Brightnening Toner

Unlike any of the super irritating toners I have tried in the past, this was super gentle on my face.

Super Peptide Serum

This is the anti-aging magic in the set I got, you just have to put a drop on your face for this baby to do it’s magic.

Silicone-Free Priming Moisturizer

This is also rich in shea butter and leaves your skin feeling super nice. I personally use this during the day and apply it before my make-up.

So, it has been a full month since I have been using these products and I can honestly not stop staring at my face during zoom calls. It looks so good! It feels soft and hydrated and (knock on wood) I have not had any pimple redness in a while which is such a huge win.

I honestly hope I don’t run out any time soon of product, but I will most likely be purchasing the whole set again. Remember how I said they don’t spend all of their money on packaging? Their stuff is super cheap. They literally have grocery store prices on really good stuff.

I am obsessed!
